Default s2000 vs C4 corvette

On route 1 in delaware county, PA, I see a black C4 vette and blow by him, i slow down and he flew past me I dropped it into 4th around 65-70 he had a car on me, i started pulling, got a 1 car lead on him and shut it down around 108-110, got off of 1 and when we parted he gave me a friendly flash and I gave a honk. It's so sweet to take a v8 espically at a high speed 60+ mph. He might of been auto, I dunno, but I was very suprised that a mid 90's vette had no chance against a 4 cylinder honda,

Larry

Heh LT1 cars are jack on the top end. Can be quick though if modded hence any V8 gets easy power gains.

are they now? i think the numbers say they are pretty even

could have been a poorly driven auto LT1 with 2.73 gears or a shitty l98 with 250hp. either way nice smack down on the V8

Heh we had this arguement before. S2K and LT1 cars can be pretty evenly matched. From a stop its a drivers race. From a roll say bye bye to the LT1. LT1 do have more potential though NA.

you're wrong, especially when its a ligher vette with more HP, but whateva

and they have about 200% more potential n/a, not just a wittle bit. 200rwhp stock for an s2k, 220rwhp fully modded n/a. 250rwhp stock for an lt1....500-600rwhp n/a fully modded.

Well, good info but not really necessary.

OP: Run a 1996 Lt4... you will be surprised

Or better yet... a ZR-1... then diss on vettes

Also, any C4 that you'll find on the streets now are all at least 10 years old.

Brock has a lot of knowledge about this subject to bring to the table. listen to him rather than shut the door and think you know better. he's also more objective than most "non-S2k" owners in SE.
