actually the reason i joined this post was because i've never lost to and S2000 up until a month ago i got beat by a 2001 with an intake & exhaust but that was moving. all the others i've raced off the line and it's either been dead even or i have been in front of them but only by a 1/2 or a 1/4 of a car. so anways, the reason i joined is because i wanted to see what all of your 1/4 miles times were which is about low 14's which is what i run. I did see a couple guys who were running high 13's which seems hard to beleive but i guess anything is possible. And removing your 15lbs. seat will not give you any advantage in the 1/4. they say 14lbs in a car frees up 1hp. if any of you read this i am very interested in your 1/4 times and what mods you have. peace guys, you all seem really cool to

The Racing and Competition forum is for *real* racing, like on a track or drag strip. I'm bumping this over to Street Encounters.

The S2000 is a 14sec. flat 1/4 mile car, yes a couple of guys here have run high 13's(good drivers). Is your eclipse stock or modded? Racing off the line really doesn't work to well if you want to find out who has the faster car. Race an S2000 from a roll at about 20mph, the S2000 should have no problem edging out an eclipse in this situation, this is stock for stock, so if your modded its a totally diff. ballgame.

no i'm not stock at all, stock for stock and S2000 will smoke any eclipse even the older AWD ones, for mods:

Injen Technology intake
Denso Iridium plugs/Magnacore wires
AEM underdrive pully kit
AEM fuel pressure regulator
Disconnected A/C
Jet V-Force Fuel Computer
Thermal R&D catback exhaust
Kosei K1 Racing Wheels/Kumho Ecsta Supra 215/45ZR17

from a rolling start i would pull on an S2000 about 3/4 of a car, from a dead stop i'm either 1/4 to a 1/4 all the way through sec and into third and then it's about dead even the rest of the way. This only goes for a stock S2k, i raced one with an intake and exhaust from a 40mph roll and he beat me by about 3/4 of a car to maybe a full car.

I've raced 2 new eclipse GT's I can remember. One of them from a stop. No idea if he was modded other than the exhaust I heard. I beat him pretty badly. Another I raced from about a 40mph roll. He got a jump on me. It was a silver one down on hwy100. He got 1/2 length right away, but I slow pulled him in. He wasn't stock as well, and had several stickers (assuming indicating mods and not just rice). But I shut it down at 100mph and had about a length on him.

We can meet up to race sometime if you'd like. I live near the germantown/falls/hubertus area, so i'm sure you know where that is. I have a stock S2000. But I have run high 13's in the 1/4 mile, so it should be an interesting race.

cool man, i used to live in menomonee falls, i live in theinsville now but i go to highway 100 eery weekend. We should race some time, i'll give you a run for your money you'll actually will be unbelievebly impressed with my car, which is why most people accuse me or ask me if i have a supercharger or a turbo or something. Anyways, to the other comment, i'm 22 so i'm not that young and i used to have DC's and they suck, the 2 pairs i had lasted me about a month or two. I've had the Globe CT-IV's since last july and have skated in them almost every day if it didn't snow out and they as good as new. I like globe too because they quality is so much better than DC and they have the built in sock and a better olli protected in the toe. that's my 2 cents worth, he to the guy who cruises highway 100, my email address is iskateglobe@msn.com and my AIM is iskateaw (Alien Workshop) also the best decks in the world, and or if you wanna call me if you're down their my cell is 414-218-5221. And if you're the kind of guys who only cruises with expensive cool cars (which i doubt you're not but there are some stubbern people out there here is a list of the cars my friends have that race with us every weekend and i hang out with everyday,

2000 Eclipse GT (me)
1999 Eclipse GSX
1995 Eclipse GSX
2001 Honda S2000
2000 Civic Hatchback B20 CRVtec
1999 Honda Civic Type R
1998 Mugen Integra Type R
1998 3.1 24v AWD Golf III
1994 MR2
1993 Hatchback B16A
1995 DOHC Vtec Del sol
1999 Supercharged Civic EX
2002 honda Civic SI

Other than the 2002 Si and the 1999 Type R everyone of these is well under a 14.5 including mine some are in the 13's and 12's you should come hang out with us. peace guys
