Nope...stock for stock (333hp vs 237/240hp) the difference equates to maybe a 70RWHP difference and the mods the M3 has will yield almost zero power gains especially without any kind of ECU adjustment (ie. tune). The S should be relatively close to the M3 until about 80mph or so but the M3 always has the advantage...it's just the faster car. After 80ish mph and definitely in the triple digits the M3's adavantage becomes greater.
this. the s2k is geared perfectly which lets it do this to a lot of cars.

That outcome sounds about right.

Two of my friends have an E46 and I ran my one friend when I only had bolt-ons and it was basically the same outcome.

i also messed with a friend's e46 6spd m3 before in the ap1...from 40-80mph we were dead even then we had to brake since the on-ramp was merging to the freeway...i'm sure after 100mph the extra powa from the m3 woulda shined

After about 80 - 100 mph, the S2k kind of hits a wall and starts to show where the torque is lacking due to wind resistance... but then again the S2k isn't built to be a highway beast.

Nice run, so with full exhaust/intake/tune I can slay E46 M3s from a roll till about 100?!?!?! I'll take it haha! (Not that I am surprised after running a buddy's Evo 8 with turbo back the other week).

No cars may have been around, but Jesus was there, and he saw you sin.

Repent, sinner!
