Let me be the first to say that I don't believe he made the story up. But I do believe that the Vette owner was new to the car, not used to it and didn't push it that hard. I also believe that he was breaking in the car and didn't want to push it that hard. If this story did occur, it doesn't mean the S2000 is faster than a C6 in any sense. It was just his encounter with many possibilities of occurences.
Steve. Were you born during Lunar or Solar Eclipse.. cuz there is something seriously wrong either with your brain. Go Fuk urself
Pilot, I went to Fort Lauderdale,Fl. But i knew a few guyz from Daytona.
All the racist people on this board , Kiss My Middle Eastern A.s.s !
Last but not least ... I SMOKED A VETTE ! Believe it or not.
Oh my God!
Unbelievable!
When I first joined this forum, I found everyone amiable and helpful - but this thread has really changed my mind.
"This guy is full of so much Dubai crap." and other comments like this goes to show how narrow minded some people are. You are talking about their being no education in this part of the world - listen to yourself - have you travelled much!? Do you know that there is a Paris in a place called France and that it is not a little town in one of your states?!
You people on this forum are racist to the bone - is this a fair comment, off course not, because I am generalising, which is exactly what all you people who made racist comments are doing.
I think you need to travel - experience some other cultures and learn.
And as for the education here in Dubai and the region - I really think you should come over here and check the levels of schooling and universities.
Oh and by the way - I am not from Dubai or the Middle East - I just live here and have been doing so for the last 25 years. This city, country or region is nowhere near perfect - but please don't generalise, and look at your own backyards before you go flaming cities and countries you know nothing about.
If these are the sort of people we have comprising one of the (and self proclaimed) world leading nations, the World is in serious trouble.

If I chased a car like that, I would never keep bumper to bumper at high speeds. Of course I would let off some to keep a distance in case the guy couldn't drive and lost control. Sorry, you are assuming too much.
The Vette was probably just pacing. On the street, especially at those speeds, you just don't pass on curves- limited sight-other factors & reasons.
Jesus!
Look, I remember what it was like when I broke in my first S2000. It was torture. There were plenty of people in civics and integras revving at me and doing blow-bys while I was letting the car break in. They'd cut me off....flash their hazzards and I'm sure plenty of them went home smiling, with the "knowledge" they "smoked an S2000", when in reality....they really didn't. If you line up a broken in, straight-stock, C6 Vette with a broken in S2000, at a track....regardless of the size and degree of the bends, the Corvette has a distinct upper hand. End of story. I'm not saying that Faysal lied about the chain of events. I just think that the Vette wasn't really racing....in which case...you can blow by him...but you didn't "smoke" him. There was no real race.
As for all the other crap? It's exactly that. Crap. I don't give two shits how much money anyone here has, or what cars they have back in the stable. I don't care where you were born or what books you choose to read or what gods you pray to (if any). None of those things should come into play on this topic. End of list.

There is a reason why USA comes running to our rescue. We pay you guyz to do our dirty jobs.
It is people like you with this mindset that has me very low regards for ME's. I fought in "Desert Storm" and have been to UAE, SA, Bahrain, and Oman and I've witnessed just how afraid you guys are.
The fact of matter is, you guys don't know damn thing about war and lacks integrity and cohesiveness to even fight. You guys are scared of fighting, has no balls whatsoever, hell, you guys aren't any better than damn French surrandering to Nazis without a fight.
The bottom line is, we come to your rescue because you guys run from fighting and let the women and children defend for themselves.
Wow this thread has really gone out of hand. It's one thing to call

I try to stay out of flaming threads like this but this comment is just too offensive to let it go.
I understand what you're saying man but you really shouldn't take offense to what some candy ass Middle Easterner says. Read between the lines...he was racing a US made Corvette, why wasn't he racing a car made in the Middle East? (rhetorical question)
