well.. i got my car back after the nitrous mishap.. 1,500 miles on the new bottom end.. went out to the races tonight.. saw a 350.. set up a run

i was out of vtec.. probably 15mph.. rollling.. 3rd honk.. go.. i start to pull at first.. just a few feet.. then.. 350.. inches back up.. by 4th.. he's creeping away.. 1 1/2 cars ahead by 110.

i'm afraid the new motor is weaker then it was before.. but who knows could just be my driving.

 

thats exactly wat happened to my friend (s2000) who ran with the 350z
so i dont think its your motor! but who knows as some guys here claim to beat the z from start to finish!

 

Only 1 1/2 cars starting at 15 mph?

When I raced my own Z while I was in my friend's S2000, my Z pulled away HARD at 15 mph. My friend (another S2000 owner) who was in the Z was also short shifting at 5500 rpms. By the time I was around 60 mph, my friend had about 3-4 cars, easy.

However, when I raced my friend at 15 mph while he was in 1st and I was in 2nd, I blew by him as I shifted into 4th. This time, he had his top down, so go figure when I blew by him.

When the S2000 is out of VTEC in any gear, it's over for the S.

 

cool man thanks.. i don't feel so bad now. despite the clouds of white smoke i leave behind at WOT.. i think the new rings haven't set. :/ i've checked and its not coolant.. has to be oil.

or maybe the valves are ed.. no tapping though.

 

at 15 mph ?!?!? DUMP IT! Great speed to leave at.
