s2k vs. 350z video
I was wondering how fast the z was and came across this video.
S was pretty much stock except for single n1 exhaust.
Z was stock according to the owner.

350z was not stock
from www.my350z.com:
"One of my friends recently had his cousins S2K for a day, so we decided to get a few runs in. I have i/plenum/cp/exhaust/ecu-my test-pipes were not in for these races. The S2K only has a single N1 cat-back. I know I have more mods, but its always fun running a car that is in your same class....We didnt race from a stop because he didnt want to abuse the drivetrain launching at 7000 rpm's, plus he knew he would get ripped out of the hole anyway.
1st race-I had a passenger filming, he didnt have any passengers. 1st gear roll about 20mph, maybe slightly higher. He jumped out a little early knowing I would eventually pass him. He held me off a little bit, by 3rd I was passing him, and by the end of the race at about 125, he was about 2 or 2 1/2 cars behind.
2nd race-Now my buddy was in the S2K filming, same thing 1st gear roll, this time we went from a lower speed. I immediately jumped out on an even start, and proceeded to walk him like my dog. About 4-5 cars and pulling to 130 when I shut it down.
Obviously the Z is faster down low and up-top, and you can see the added 150 lb passenger in the S2K makes a difference-thank Honda for the 7500 rpm TQ peak FYI-before I had all these mods we raced and the outcome would still be the same, just not as bad-we are both decent drivers, and I have NEVER lost to that S2K-and with my friend behind the wheel, its the best an S2K has ever done against me. Anyways I hope I can find a host, you guys will enjoy the vid...."

a kill is a kill, i did post on the 350 forum saying nice kill im just sick of people like the guy with the sti on the 350z forum saying "well i guess this proves it the 350z is faster" there is no true way to do it because drivers are all different.

the z guy claims those mods were not installed at the time of the race on his post. if he did have all those mods, it was an unfair race. those mods give vq35 at least 30-50 horses at the crank.
