as probably the guy on here that has the most races vs. Evo's i i'd say it could go both ways. if hes not tuned with his mods, hes not faster than a stock 9, if hes tuned you'll hand in maybe 2 and a part of 3 but from there on hes going to leave you behind. the 4.57's are going to help you keep up, but their going to kill you past 110 or so. with the bigger hotside on the 9's the have the hwy scoot to back up the insane low end they have already.

untuned evo=win

tuned evo=bye bye.

as far as the stock 9 vs. SC'd Sduece, every seems to underestimate how well a boosted S runs on the hwy. even on 5lbs a s2k is going to put a stock 9 WELL behind.

A friend at work has a tuned Evo 9 and he laid down like 330hp with just increasing boost, K&N drop in filter and exhaust. You will need FI to beat him if its tuned.

If he had an 8 you would have a chance.

I think you can take him since you said he has a blown transmission on his new car. That tells me he either doesn't know how to drive or is just a ricer that likes to do AWD clutch drops at every stop light.

enough said...

I sent that to someone who had similar thoughts...

In the end, an AWD will make a bad driver a fast bad driver. A good driver will find the limits of a "souped up lancer" quickly.

s2k FTW

well I had aem v2, berk's test pipe, flywheel, clutch and I put a little less then 2 cars on my friends stock evo9 by 140. So if he even has an exhaust then it's bye bye for you.

That is the stupidest article ever posted on S2ki. It makes me embarrassed to be a member here. Thanks so much to referring us to it.
