Do you speak from experience or are you just quoting something you once heard from some guy who had a friend who raced one once?

From experience, a stock S2k does not even come close to a stock IX from a dig or roll. Evo IX's trap ~107mph, so unless you also hang with LS1 powered cars you are not going to keep up.

I speak somewhat through experience. I pulled on every stock evo(pre9) I have raced when I was stock and even after my intake and flywheel mods.

I've run one evo9 mr 20+ times all with the same results. I've also been able to pull on him everytime and at the time only having intake flywheel test pipe. So somewhat stock. Not sure if my mods did anthing to this but my fourth gear pull would put me ahead about a car on him, afterwards I had a slow pull in fifth until it looked like in sixth I would stop pulling but would keep my distance. I think a stock S would be a dead on race between one if not having the advantage in the first couple gears from a roll.
