Ran a friends 06 stock SLK55 AMG vs my I/E AP1 & got torn a new butthole. Just wanted to share how we stack up against these cars(lol).


Dead stop - SLK spinning throughout first gear from that monstorous V8 with me doing a so-so launch, dead even throughout first gear but as soon as he caught traction it was game over. It just kept pulling & pulling like no tomorrow, I let off at 70 due to a upcoming red light & he was about 6 cars ahead of me already. If we would have kept going he would have just kept pulling & pulling


25mph roll - Was right at vtec, 3 honks & SLK is spinning again(no surprise). As soon as he caught traction, again, pulled like no tomorrow. But this time I was behind 5cars, let off at 70 again due to another red light.


Man those AMG's are crazy, we also went through a twisty road & the SLK55 hung pretty well which surprised me , I thought hey at least I'll get him through the turns but I was wrong lol kept up betterthan I thought. Although he did slid a few times while the s2k stayed planted.

You need boost. 12psi from a turbo and he'll be the one crying about getting anal raped. The mercs are nice though. for giving it a run.

Nice death lol, We have a lot of ppl with money around here, I love running these guys with expensive cars thinking they are gonna win against a little honda.

 

Yeah those AMG cars are something else lol, I been a fan of them for so long. Just had no idea that little Mercedes that looks even "cuter" than our s2000's can pack such a powerful punch . Did a quick check on them, 0-60 4.3 seconds. 1/4 mile in 12.7 @ 114 mph stock, pretty impressive. In fact that is the same 0-60 time as the monster E55 AMG with 469HP 516ft-lbs & only a tenth slower in the 1/4 mile

 

any amg's from like 04+ are no joke

 

Surprised they didn't supercharge the slk. I guess they figured the 5.5 was enough

I was only NA with CAI & exhaust, no F/I or laughing gas. I believe they run the same or very close times as a stock C5 Z06
