Default s2k vs wrx

well i left my buddies house around midnight was running low on fuel so went to the near by chevron. pulled up to the pump and infront of me was a nice wrx. pumping gas while i clean my windshield and check my tire psi's. well the guy in the wrx gets back to his car and pumps his gas. noticed and asked about his wheels. he has the rays jdm sti rims which are sick. so we chatted for a few min and started talking mods. he had only run a stock s2k when he just had an up pipe and exhust. i never ran a wrx before. well enough of that. decided to run from a stop since the hwy near us (the5) isint great and usually has cops.
mods
2001 s2000
intake/testpipe/4.57/IMgasket/4puck clutch/flywheel/new rear tires.
2005 wrx
intake/cobb tuning/light crank pulley/bosal uppipe downpipe/blitz exhaust/hks bov/short shifter. a few other stuff but thats what i remember.

well got to a nice spot long straight away empty(for those in los angeles, sun valley) lined up reved to 6200, on 3 dumped the clutch and once i got traction floored it. by the end of 1st he was half a car ahead. by the end of 2nd alittle over a car . at 3rd he had put about 2 cars on me. ran 3 times. 2nd time same thing just this time he beat me by 3 cars. 3rd time beat me by 3 1/2. boo! heh. wonder how i would do on the freeway.
we stoped talked for another min and were on our way. expected it to be closer, but o well.

no i'm sure he pulled with those mods........when i was reading your list......i was like.. wow........lots of goodies.......but right when i saw that he had COBB Tuning....my eyes just went big.....

I'm apart of a group called DCAWD.com ALL subies and awd groups....trust me....my guys are running 500 + hp. that wasnt much of a surprise he pulled with what he had......thats with the 2.0....if he had the 2.5 wrx...not sti even.....he wouldve pulled harder.

all in all......with what you have? you did great! i wish i had what you had hahahaha....i cant imagine you going FI with those mods....!!

run him on the highway, it might have been a different turnout. any wrx i have ran from 40mph or more don't run all that fast, but i haven't ran any high powered ones, good run!

This comment baffles me...the only 2 mods that would have helped in terms of power with FI are the exhaust and gears...the 4 puck (extreme overkill for an N/A s2k btw) clutch doesn't even matter, it will just allow him to hold the power of FI. So I really don't get the point of your 'I can't imagine you going F/I with those mods!' post. You must not know too much about turbo/supercharging.

sorry to baffle ya there buddy, but in short i was really referring more the gears and some to the air flow setup..........

I was trying to be nice there airborne and not make him feel so bad of losing!

and i do know enough about turbo's considering i've been an avid DSM'r since 03. Ofcourse being a DSM'er could mean anything from just a driver, to someone who's done the swaps, trannies, engines, rear diff, tuning......Such as myself.

So before you make an assumption by just ONE sentance, think twice. because not everything you see or read could be the real thing.

Thats just like everyone reading all of your replies and ASSUMING that your a complete ass hole just because of how you speak and respond to folks around using the MILITARY as your excuse as to why you speak the way you do.

BUT i wont assume that because i dont know you and i dont know your knowledge when it comes to turbo's. I can just simply say you dont know jack about your S2000 and you just drive an S2000 turbo'd by inline and thats it.

After all the comments you have left in the past, i ignore, and i even told you once before that you should be nicer about things.

This is no way to argue with you. for you to get upset or ANYthing by any means. So lets be cool and move on.

Anyways......back on topic.
