Does anyone have an experience with a WRX? I chased a guy yesterday and was quite surprised at the WRX's acceralation. It appears the two cars are close but I have a friend that has driven a WRX and he says its got NOTHING of the line. I would suspect you would need to be careful with a WRX considering the mod's that you can get for the thing.

Due to my crappy luck, I can never spot WRX's when I'm driving my S2000. However, I was in my best friend's 2000 Integra Type R (AEM CAI, GReddy EVO cat-back) when we encountered a WRX on the freeway. I believe they raced from 80mph to about 120mph and my friend won pretty easily. There's a bunch of WRX vs. S2000 threads here, but it seems the conclusion is pretty consistent. From a roll, the S2000 should have no problem edging out a WRX, especially if you race at higher speeds. From a stop, I believe it's pretty difficult to beat a WRX considering it's AWD launches and the difficulty of launching the S2000. This is all stock vs. stock of course. And yes, there's plenty of mods you can do to a WRX to make it faster. It responds to mods much better than the S2000, so take that into consideration.
