Default SC S2K VS 03 lightning

We were at our favorite spot, a place were there is no traffic. First run with a 4k launch(first launch with new setup) I bogged terribly and he took a car lead and held on at the end for a half car win. He hit the brakes at 85 or so. The next run, I had to have a redo I launched at 6k or so, good clean launch with just a bit of wheelspin. I immediately took a car lead and pretty much stayed the same. I was a little disapointed because i figured I would beat him by more than that. I have raced him before the supercharger on the highway and it was pretty much dead even.
On the way home I had a passenger him none, we hit at at 75 or so and I pulled him pretty good. That felt good, but I expected more.
BTW I had my 18" chrome wheels on and the top down for the dig races. He is totally stock with not so good tires.

I may be wrong here, but doesn't a stock S beat a stock lightning by a car length?

He runs consistent 14.0s at the track, yeah I was a little dissapointed with our runs. He does have 380hp. I am hoping tu run him again this time with stock tires and the top up. He was also running 93 plus octane to my shitty 91. No excuses I am still a little dissapointed.

Stock L's run 13.8-14.2's... They have monster torque to get off the line, but up top their aerodynamics slow them down pretty fast.. You sure he was stock?? It's pretty easy to switch pulley's and put down an extra 40-60rwhp...

Doesn't sound right for stock. The SC should give you at least 80-90 more ponies. Plenty to pass even if he did get you from the dig.

Yep. Sounds like you need to spend a little time on the dyno.

Frans2k, to be honest, you sound like you have the weakest S/C S2k ever. You couldn't pull on a stock STI, Lightnighg, etc. There's something really wrong with your car.

Lightning is S/C from the factory right? At the end of your post you said he was stock! WTF, you should have destroyed him, Z06-KILLR is a 13.2 you were dead even with the STI. A truck?
