Good. I thought it was a local thing. I get a few TC's trying to instigate a race. I'm guessing the styling cues borrowed/stolen from BMW (headlights, C pillar) make some think they're driving an M3?

One particularly nasty one that lives near me has the full fast-n-furious "tuner" treatment: side decals, fake HID's (seriously, does anyone still not get it that we can tell they're fake, your car has incandenscent bulbs, get over it), coffee can, chrome dubs, red painted calipers... you get the picture. Dude tries to look real 'hard' too.

I'd love to get a run in against that one someday

 

This is hilarious....I thought it was only in my area they did this. I wonder if the dealership is telling them they are fast cars. I know Dodge tells everyone that the SRT-4 will smoke a S2k. Most of them I don't waste my gas, but if they REALLY keep pushing me...I'll show them who's faster.

 

Thats awsome! I don't know how anyone would try to look hard in one of these. I almost hide when I drive it. After getting beat down by Focus ZX3's and riced civics, I can't hardly yell out the window "Wait here while I get my S2000!". In the Bronco it's different. No one will race me because they're afraid the muffler (which it doesn't have) will fall off or something. Just more reasons to appreciate the S.

 

I came across a TC on the highway one morning not too long ago. He was pushing hard to get me to go and when I finally did, I didn't leave him like I thought I should. I'm guessing he was turbo'd because he kept up pretty good until about 130.

 

No I get reved at by Cavaliers and sunfires. Even worse and some times NA Neons.

Yea something is up with that....I've test driven the Tc just for fun....there was NO way it would keep up with my stock S. I've also done 0-60 runs and beat them really badly. They are A LOT easier to "launch" though so they can get ahead a little at first...but once vtec hits in 1st....or worst case scenario 2nd....its over. They weigh almost the same as an S but rated at 160hp. We've got 80 hp on them stock. Supercharged I think they are at 200hp. Sounds like even supercharged we should give them a good run...if not win.
