do any of them?

one of my distant relatives has one that he bought brand new. it has a new problem every week and although he loves the car, he'll admit it's a bona fide POS.

and he actually just took over ownership of his brother's 2001 silverstone with full Veilside..

You're just surly because Mazda put out the bogus engine recall.

I think people should have to take a test before being allowed to buy a rotary of any kind. The idiots that typically buy RX-8s woefully stupid individuals when it comes to the workings of a car and most have no clue about what's under the hood. They don't know to premix, they don't know that rotaries get owned by cats, they don't know how to prevent flooding or how to deflood once the car has flooded. These ****ing guys flood their engine and think it's blown. Don't blame the car, blame the owners. Just because the engine isn't ****ing idiot proof doesn't make it a bad engine, just stop selling to ****ing idiots.

thx Mazda. I'll take my turbo rotary powered Kabura in 3-4 years so I have something worthwhile to trade the S for.

RX-Lates...You should have smoked them..4 cars sounds about right though.
4 cars with a crappy driver and a not broke in RX8 is not that impressive. RX8's do get faster with some miles on them, not like adding serious mods faster, but they do wake up quite a bit.

oh and a properly maintaned RX8 will last just fine.
