It's been a few weeks since I have had an encounter and a few things are changed on my ride. Last Dynopack was 439hp. Since then, I've added 2+ lbs boost and uncorked the exhaust with an Amuse. It should be over 475hp. Changing seats, exhaust and a few other things have decreased the weight over 100 lbs in the last month. I'm also running 235/275 RA-1s on Volks. The S is running perfect.
It was clear with light traffic, actually all the traffic was behind me and the road was open for over a mile with no one in sight. I caught a red light and I saw headlights changing lanes and comming up fast. The car zipped into the open lane on my right and then I heard it, the waapita-waapita. Slowly he pulled up to where I could see. I looked over and it was a guy in a Carrera GT. With 10 cylinders and no flywheel, the 600+ hp Carrera GT sounds sooooo nice.
I glanced around and no cops were visable and no helecopter buzzing around. I'm thinking this is a once in a lifetime opportunity, where is Dog and his camera when you need them? The guy is hotshoeing it so I know this will happen. I'm worried about lighting the tires up and making an ass of myself.
The light was changing the other direction so I brought the rpms up a little to about 3000 and got a quick start. Not quite as quick as the CGT though so I gave it more in second. We were side by side at 50 and I shifted to third. At that point I think he realized I was next to him. He punched it and the exhaust let out a bark and the tires a howl as they lit up. We were off. I was in full throttle and pulled about 2 car lengths. I managed to stay ahead into 4th. In the triple digits, he pulled up and finally pulled ahead. I kept my headlights in front of his door until 150. I shut down at 8700 in 6th and the speedo stopped climbing at 154. He kept going and later told me that he shut down at 175.
At that speed I found myself looking for a landing spot
and something for ear pain.
We stopped and talked for a while and he was astounded by the S.
Sleepers are so much fun.
While we were talking a female motorcycle cop set up a radar trap across the street and started bagging speeders.

Holy crap !
Almost took down a CGT with an S2K haha. I love your setup.
Also- need pics of the wheels! Did you have to flare the fenders so that the tires wouldn't stick out?

Of course, interesting to see the S keep up, but mod vs standard car races just don't impress me.

try to water down what happened. uhm, 500,000$ porsche with 600+ hp, barely beats a 30,000$ s2k with a blower bolted on it. check again. this isnt just a stock vs modded post bro. LOL. laters all. dave
Exactly what I meant.
