I'm not sure what type of math you are doing, but in big boy math when you add 5 to something the number becomes bigger. A positive delta, even a small positive delta, is still a gain.

He's talking about relativity. Compared to other singles out there that are making over 10+whp, 5hp is really nothing much especially if you wanna factor in the fact that they sound much quieter also.
