Good race with a good attitude. Cant win them all...Sounds like the guy has a FM II kit. 15psi is good for about 2yrs on a stock motor. 240 rwhp is enough to beat a C5 most of the time especially from a stand still. MY best at 16 psi was a 12.7 @ 108.5 mph. (stock motor)
Was going to reply to Fire sauce... comments but for what I cant knock off his Z in CA.

My Friend Ric aka Minimonster won NOPI nationals in TX this weekend Posted a 11.3 @ 124 mph to take first place in the street tire class. Daily driver. 1990 miata

*Even Glen can appreciate a miata that pulls 1.52 60ft times.

1997 Miata FM Turbo II
built motor 20 psi 2400lbs
286 rwhp/285 rw/tq

The miata is a roadster (drop-top) whereas the RX7 is a sportscar. Not to mention, one is N/A and the other is F/I. Not exactly in the same category. But I guess you are entitled to your own opinion.

Glad to see the Miata defended on this board. The Miata is a great car, no need to call it anything less.

I'll give thumbs-up/kudos/mad props/bling-blings (or whatever the heck the kids are saying these days) to anybody who goes through the knuckle busting to make their car faster. Installing forced induction is non-trivial and costly. If they keep it stock looking they have my admiration. If it's their daily driver they have my .

Miatas are nice cars. I've driven several M1 and M2 Miatas and an 02 S2000. Below 6000rpm they are very similar cars.

d2d, my post said nothing regarding whether 2k's should be modded to kill the random turbo Miata...do that if you think it's important enough. I was just responding to someone who makes blanket statements as lame as that.

Imagine you have an S2k and want to add something to the corral. You're on a Porsche or Vette board to learn about a car you might buy. In comes a tacosauce1400 and you learn your car is a POS and the ugliest thing alive. No performance talk, no intelligent debate, not even experential or observed evidence...just a big dickheaded barf in an otherwise cool thread. At first you would probably go "what a bunch of shit...do I even want to belong to this club?" Then you realize the comment came from someone that's a brown-nosing wannabe in the first place that doesn't even have a Porsche or Vette. My point was that that kind of comment is not only retarded but actually taints the board it was spewed on in a way.

The people I know that love cars don't need to come off as dickless wonders to justify their main rides. They typically seem to want to learn about other cars in a logical, stable manner. That's the fun of it all!

This kid in his "Classic" 1990 300zx is a joke. In fact, he is totally unaware of his true opinion...he is only capable of a reflex peer-induced idiotic comment. I am thinking, 19....mullet, "NO FEAR" sticker on the windshield and not enough self-esteem to trust his own opinions. Not good. For the record, that 1990 300zx is not exactly the hottest looking car...funny how the one guy who gets all worked up doesn't even own an s2k. ??
