speaking of RSX's
I have had a few RSX-S run-ins in the last few months, including a boosted RSX which was quite quick. The one I raced in this story, was not.
I was at an ice cream place (only in wisconsin do people buy ice cream when it's 20 degrees out), and came outside to see some tool in his RSX sitting next to my car. As I got to my car, he rolled the window down and goes "sup you wanna run"? I'm like WTF. Do you have that little of a life that you drive around, find a nice car, park next to it, and wait for the owner to come by so you can ask him if you want to run?
I told him politely no that's quite alright. (i know i turned down a race, mark it in the books) He's like, "yeah stupid S2000 owners, always afraid to race someone faster". I say to him as I get in my car "and what is it that makes your RSX so darn fast". He's like "hondata i/h/e and some other stuff.... outta your league". Wow, I didn't realize a car owner could get so pissed off and butt hurt that someone didn't want to bother wasting the gas to race him.
With that, I get in my car and drive off. Of course, the asshat follows me. We're in downtown west bend, where it's a 30mph zone, and there's no way in hell I'm going to race in this cop infested area. This clown is just speeding up, and then slowing down. I'm in the left lane, and he goes zipping by in the right, puts flashers on and then slows back down. He then gets next to me, drops it into 2nd gear and sits there. I still don't bite, so he takes off again, pretending he's racing someone (insert speed racer theme here) and then stays ahead of me. I figure this is the end of it.
The light at the next intersection turns just before he gets there, and he SLAMS on brakes to make sure he gets lined up next to me. I'm at the light, and he's revving his car. I do nothing. I know that regardless of what I do, he's going to go off into his own little world and pretend to race someone again. At this point, I've had enough of the little f*cker, and now I'm more than willing to oblige since we're on the outside edge of town.
The light turns, I do a quick rolling start, and he goes to take off. I mash the gas, and we're off. 1st gear, I'm walking. 2nd gear, still walking. 3rd gear, and I'm walkity the walking man walkin' and a walkin'. I've got probably 7 cars on him by the time I hit 80 or 90, and I shut down. After I shut down, he keeps going a little, then slams on his brakes and makes a turn, trying to act as if he had never really been racing. Loser.

Nice story! I'll always have love for the RSX-S because I used to own one, and it was the first new car I ever bought. Most of my car group is still comprised of RSXs as well, although several of us have moved on to other cars and almost all of the RSXs in the group are now either supercharged or turbo'ed.
Anyway, I ran an RSX with I/H/E and K-pro, on drag radials, at the track last year. I was in my completely bone stock AP2. I had a horrible launch, giving it too much throttle off the line, losing traction, and having my rear end step out slightly. I cut a 2.4 60' on that run
. Still, I was able to correct, and literally walk him down... passing him just before the quartermile marker. I don't remember exactly what my E.T. was that pass, but I want to say it was somewhere in the 14.4 range.
Still, some of those RSXs with the typical bolt ons, K-Pro, and cams are pretty quick. It all depends on the driver of course, but I've seen the ones with the IPS cams and the Crower cams trapping 101-103 in the quarter.

Seriously that is mutaf*ckin' harrassment, I wouldn't be racing somebody doing that to me, but stomping the sh*t out of them.
