Out of curiosity, what is the fastest you have gone with the top down? Can the car hit 150 in this configuration? I will eventually find out soon enough in my own car but I justed wanted a general idea of what to expect before hand so I am not disappointed...

 

I saw 154 a few weeks back. I don't recommend it. My ears hurt for a few days from the beating.

 

if the car is stock, it will have a hard time over 130. depends on mods. i pulled straight to 157 and bottomed the limiter, top down. but my car isnt stock. LOL. lates dave

 

about the fastest I had my 02 was 134 with the top down.. not much left after that either..

 

I've done 147 with top down and was about 8800 RPM in sixth. I am certain that 150 top down is do able had I red lined it.
Oh yeah, also 100% stock.

 

143mph I don't remenber rpm's ?

 

me too... but that was with my 2000 model...

not to mention he has over 430rwhp... must be nice and it's a sleeper

 

Cool, thanks for the replies. I wouldn't think that having the top down would slow us down too much. I know that in a racing situation it does but if your out to just get a leisurely high speed run in I would think that it won't matter that much.

 

its hard to gain much speed after 130 ...but its possible to get above 140

 

-yawn-....I dont remember what mine was...when my top is down I usually wont take it past 120-130...but it could go more if I wanted it to easily, it still pulls very well at tripple didget speeds, the wind noise and HKS is just too loud at that speed with the top down......Ohh and I'm not stock either
