well for one 40 is a bad spot in the AP1...and how high did you go speed wise...i've raced my buddies tuned/I/E 07 wrx and even w/ him i have him 2 cars off my bumper by 115(65 roll)...even pulled slowly a stock 06 STi, 07 STi and was dead even w/ a stock 08 STi till 130(i go to subaru meets w/ my buddie)...and i have an 02 w/ only I/H/TP/E...

i would say in your scenario if he is pulling you all the way into the triple digits, that there is both something right w/ his car, and wrong w/ your car...

what speed would be good to race with on a ap1 if a 40 roll is bad?

and it was only to around from 40 to 70-80
his boost kicks in and he shifts once or twice and then he just slams on the breaks,

so im thinking he just gets the jump because of the boost and i cant get to use the high rpm where
we make power.

yeah, you should not be loosing to him, you should pull a few cars on him, especially if it isnt even an STI.

yea... somethings not right with my car then....
any ideas? its a 02 with 68k miles right now.
driver side motor mount MIGHT be going bad, hard to tell
going to replace when i get the cash

im burning about a quart every 700-800 miles too..... useing castrol edge 10w-30......

Cant really say what could be wrong, AP1's tend to burn more oil than AP2's, My AP1 burns close to the same. I started using Amsoil and that stuff is great. I burn a lot less. Check ur spark plugs, have you ever changed them or know if they have been changed?

never changed the plugs, i got the car at 62k miles,
but ill for sure change it this week end!

any brand of plug you recommend? and where to get it along with price? haha

dude have you ever raced with a honda? you have to start at 6k or even 6.5k right when your powerband starts..duh

Why would you race him while hes in his powerband and your not?
