Default Trap Speed index---MUST READ!

Soul Coughing PM'd this to me, and i thought that it was VERY useful info. this sub topic should be consulted when your considering racing cars youre not familar with.

by looking at the cars listed and their trap speeds you can determine, to some degree, how you'd fare against some of these cars.

for reference

00-present S2000
stock 98-102mph
modded(NA) 102-106mph
modded(FI) 106-120mph+ depending on PSI levels and BPU's

so with out further adue:
93-97 F-BODY
STOCK 96/98
BOLT-ON 102/109
W/ CAM 107/113
H/C 111/115
383/396 115/121
SC

trap speeds have nothing to do with roll races, so take into consideration the other 150,000,000,000 variables before you do roll race. then just go ahead and do it, youll be amazed at the outcomes.

Those bike #s are off for 07, assuming they are for this years models. I've got about 3 separate reports clockin 132 for the 1/4 mile in a k7 gsxr 600.

In fact, all the 600's are over 130mph in the 1/4 mile for 07, the Honda CBR 600 had the best trap of 133.7mph.

Very nice I think the 04-06 GTO's may be a little underrated at 96/104. I was under the impression they'd pull a C5 that's 104/107

NO. C5 can easily pull even the 6.0 GTOs.

over on Corvette Forums most C5s trap 107-110.

I know the GTOs are boats, but I just can't see a LS1 car "easily pulling" a LS2 car.

C5's are very lite(in comparison) geared very well, and VERY, VERY aerodynamic. its safe to say that a stock 6sp C5 vette can mop the floor with a 6.0 GTO.
