Its all about what you want. I kinda get sick of hearing guys say "if i spent this much money in my "insert car here" it would be so much faster!" haha. At the end of the day having a fun open aired 2 seater that can lay down some hurt might be more important to some then others. Having a boosted S is a TON of fun!

Like illestrolla said... open your wallet I havent added up what I have spent in the last 2 weeks, but I know what my bank account looked like before and what it looks like now and I still have probably another $1400 at least to spend in tuning, clutch install and other misc parts If you dont mind used parts, then I suggest looking for them. I just bought everything new though so my cost is probably a little higher than if you shop around. But, it will be like nothing Ive ever had once Im done!

I have a Honda cbr1000rr with just a full two brothers exhaust, getting 189hp(prob around 165ish to the wheels) bike weighs 587lbs with me on it, I raped an 560hp evo. I think all wheel drive cars need to be in the 800hp range to really put up a fight or win against a liter bike.
