vr4 vs. s2000
wasn't much pulling going on either way but looked like the vr4 may have edged him out. Any feedback by others that have raced vr4's? I would have thought the s2000 could have got him.
7777white what car do you drive? Seems kinda od that you've been here one day and this is your second post on the street racing forum. And your story doesn't sound to complete.
Oh and about your question there is I think three different hp range vr4. You didn't post which model it was. You didn't post if it was rolling or of the whole, etc. So how do you expect an answer if you have not given any details.

Driving both cars in the past I would say that from the whole the vr4 will get the s2000. From a roll it will be anyones game. I think from a roll it will be close with the vr-4 most likely moving forward. I haven't raced one myself for I have only had the car 4 days and love every minute of it.

easy kill? got a video? cuz thats kinda hard to believe. even considering it weighs 3760lbs, it also has almost 100 hp more giving it 11.75lbs per hp. the s (stock) is about 11.71lbs per hp... so yeah, i know its magazine racing, but saying they're an "easy kill" raises a BS flag. unless of course, you raced people who didnt know how to drive or raced a base or SL model.
I have a vr4 and an s2k. I'd say it's a close draw... the power to weight ratio is almost identical with a slight advantage on the s2k's side. Off the line the vr4 will beat it almost any day provided the driver knows what they are doing. It has more low end torque. I have also owned an sl model and off the line that is a bit quicker too. But the s2k would smokethe sl at highr rpm. But basically, it's a draw with slight advantage off the line for the vr4.
Well ive actually raced my ex's brothers 1994 VR-4 all stock. From a roll we were pretty even (me ahead by a about 1/4 of a car)up to around 90, but we shut it down pretty early.
From a roll, he beat me by quite a bit. I tried launching and ending up frying my clutch ( last time trying to launch ).
We ended up running again, with me doing just a regular street start, and he got ahead by quite a bit on that run. Overall though, i think with a good launch with the s2k, it should be fairly even as everyone has said.
