Thats great! I have an appreciation for those little cars. My Golf G60 which I sold last year was pushing close to 240HP. My S2000 never stood a chance against it. *sigh* How I miss that car!

Man, if that is not a lesson on power/weight ratio I don't know what is.
I don't believe I have seen a bigger sleeper than that Rabbit. That Rabbit
might be more than 1,000lbs less than the Toyota.

Yes, that reminds me of a Callaway Twin Turbo Rabbit GTI I saw back in the day.
My first car was a 1984 Rabbit GTI, I really loved that thing.

I'd still rather have just about any car other than a Rabbit. I owned an 84 GTi for awhile, and it was by far the worst car I ever owned. It was a blast to drive, but I never knew when the next part was going to fall off it.
But VW owners are a breed apart. It never ceases to amaze me the kind of time/money/effort they put into their cars.
