Actually 13.5 @ Palmdale, LACR is blazing fast. My friend 450+ rwhp 300Z can only muster mid 13's all night, until he found traction and made his 12.9 sec run.

My friend Mike's (Neowerkes champion) S4 made a 13.4 run at LACR and made consistent 13.5 sec runs all night. With that said, 350 bhp on the WRX is about right for those E.T.

I really cant argue about the owner with the WRX, afterall... its his car, who am I to judge? I am just spitting up numbers he told me.

The one thing that the WRX lacks is trap speed, this is mostly due to the poor gearing of the vehicle, any WRX will agree. The only advantage these little cars have is off the line.

For those of you who have never been to LACR, you will never understand the times some cars run unless you see it for yourself. That track totally sucks. Factor in desert humidity + constant headwinds + 3000+ altitude = LACR. They dont call it "So Cal Slow Track" for nothing ya know

It was also over 100 at the track on saturday @Fontana.

BTW the WRX has a 25% drivetrain loss, that would put him at 260. I doubt the guy had 350 hp anywhere crank or wheels.

Why don't you come over with your Saab and show him how slow his car is
Let me slap on my DR's and I will race your buddy with the WRX

Carlsbad, CA

Let me know!

I never said your car is slow.

A WRX with 350hp should be in the mid to low 12s if that's at the wheels. So does that mean that at a good track you are in the low 13s high 12s?? If so what all do you have done.

bring your car to the drags. or race him in the dirt. then he'll change rims and tires and smoke you at willow too.
Sure, I'll race him in the dirt, haha. I never said that they weren't slow on a road course. I highly doubt he'll beat me at Willow Springs if it's his first time there, even though his car is faster and handles better. The WRX has too much body roll in my opinion. Not really a competitor against roadsters on the track.

Also, yes, LACR does suck, bad, really bad.
