Default Z06 vs KW Highboost

Over the summer I randomly met up with a guy with an 04 Z06. He had a few bolt ons and was putting down 386whp. We did a few runs and the result was him pulling on me by about 2 cars.

Well, hes back in town and we both have a few upgrades since then and have been itching for a rematch.

I installed 4.57 gears and a Berk High flow cat. He did a retune and added a Borla Exhaust resulting in 408whp.

We decide to do a highway roll and on the third honk we both punch it. I can hear is exhaust scream its v8 roar and my S/C is soaring through the wind. We are NECK and NECK with him gaining only an inch every second or two. It was truly a viciously close race. 60-110

I am thrilled it was such a close race. I thought i'd share with you guys! Enjoy!

04 Z06: TB & intake, long tube headers, tune, borla exhaust 408whp
06 Kraftwerks S/C 10psi: 355whp, berk high flow cat, stock header, stock exhaust, 4.57 gears.

350/400WHP cars going at it for 1 gear/40MPH.

Too bad there are no half mile drag strips because otherwise races like these are a bit pointless.

good run! do u think having a high flowing exhaust and header would've made a difference? and im assuming ur using gears to take advantage of the centrifugal nature of building boost by rpm.

I am sure if i opened up the header and exhaust with a proper setup then i'd gain some power. The gears made a pretty nice difference and helped close the gap between our cars despite his recent power adders.

Sounds like Fun!

Adding a 70mm Single Cat-back would have definitely won you the race, it should net you atleast 10-15whp and 40lbs weight reduction..
