How about making one that is all leather... here in TX the shift knob is too hot to handle.
Trust me they both get HOT! but the leather doesn't get as cold.

That black knob is beautiful and I've been resisting it for a few days now. I don't know if I can hold out much longer!

completely agree with the above, i got my black knob a few weeks ago, at first i was hesitant to try a spherical knob compared to the stock shape, but i'm very glad i purchased it and love the feel of it.

I installed a red one just yesterday (though mine doesn't have the shift pattern etched on it... <hint hint> Muz ) and was able to take it for a drive for the first time this morning. The difference in feel between the stock '00 "cylinder" and the new sphere shape took a minute or two to get used to, but I'm liking the difference.

The look is simply awesome for such a simple mod.

I had one complaint that now has to be removed after seeing this thread... my new knob is no lower than the stock one and sticks above the shoft boot. It's only seeing the pic in this thread that I realized why... I still have the stock nut underneath the knob. If I get rid of that, the knob should drop another half inch or more. I'll have to do that when I get home. So, don't forget to remove the stock nut during installation.
