hmmm....perhaps even counter sinking the stock knob...or offering a counter sunk version of similar style?

It means the thread of the knob is drilled more deeply so that it fits down past where the thread on the shifter stem finishes.

I'm not seen the voodoo knobs myself but the Muz knobs are countersunk all the way to the top so you can't get any lower than this in any event.
