Don't the 16" forged emotions say "forged" on them?

You should probably be setting a price in stone before driving to meet anyone...

So after I sold my S2000, I had a lot of parts laying around in my garage. So I decided to post them on a local forum to bypass the hassle of shipping things like wheels, exhaust... that kind of stuff and also because my membership for S2Ki expired, and I couldn't post anything on that buy and sell as well.

So I post a Mugen steering wheel that my cousin in HK helped me buy for around $150, and it's never been used. The guy gives me a call and totally goes through with it. When we meet up, he goes, "I'll give you 80$ for it". I was completely baffled on these lowballing bastards. Not only did he waste my time, he made me waste gas driving all the way out.

Then later in the week, I wanted to sell my 16" Forged Work Emotions, for much cheaper than what I bought it for. And then the guy has the decency to like give me $600 because for some reason he kept arguing with me that it wasn't forged, even though it was like freaking 10lbs!!! So he gets pissed off at me because I'm asking too much for "cast" wheels and then doesn't have the courtesy to even say thanks for driving out, and rips away in his car.

What's with people nowdays? Jesus...
Unfortunately that's the nature of people when trying to part out a car. They want to pay the least amount of money for the part because in their eyes it's a used part and you want to get as much of your money that you spent to limit your losses.

Even if you did confirm a price before the meeting chances are they would try for a lower price when you finally did meet. I usually just try to come to a common ground and if you can't then you simply part ways.

Dude, you will be happier once you learn a few things:

1) What you paid for it is irrelevent.

2) What it is worth is what somebody is willing to pay for it. If you don't like the price, you don't have to sell.

3) WTF are you doing wasting your time driving around like some sort of moving swap meet? Do the haggling in advance and establish a price. If they try to lowball you afterwards, then you have a right to be pissed off.

1) I know now

2) But the thing is that there are a lot of people willing to pay more, but then it's just my problem of laziness to ship. But I am going to ship now due to the bastard lowballers.

3) I was being nice to him since he sounded sincere and wanted the wheels and was all like, "Yeah, I'll take them for $xxxx". Then he tried to haggle after after set the deal.
