I'm so sorry, I wish they would have just kept the car. You don't want it back after that stuff happens. The shop that worked on my 00 Civic Si stole my car after I got some work done to it. I couldn't prove anything, but I have a much better car now

Did you get all 3 keys when you bought the car?

I doubt that getting all 3 keys would make any difference as they probably made extras.........

I also agree that maybe it was the people selling the car....
It's just about impossible that it was the seller. We bought the car from out of state from a dealership. And the address the seller had was my Mom's house.

Nope, the car was scoped out. We're pretty sure of it. My bro was at my girlfriends house, and her mom mentioned that she did see a car drive by real slow, but didn't think that much at the time to concentrate on make/model/plate, etc.

He's still gathering the info on the recovery repair. Maybe I can take some pics of the mess.

Look at the bright side. At $8,000 just for the seats, A pair of Recaros with rails will only set you back a hair over $2,000. That leaves a lot of cash to fix the other little things and buy some good parts as well.

I hate that this happend to your brother...but the best thing to do is to try to look at the bright side of things...Just get a check cut from the insurance company and go aftermarket crazy...This could be the best thing that happend to your brother...just got the car, now he has some bad ass "bride" seats and a supercharger

So, was the car hotwired or not? Did they break the window/lock? Is the front end scraped?

Garage man, garage. I think the chip is easily defeated, and that bs where they say they have to tow it to steal it? Nah. I just don't know how they do it. Steal it I mean.

That's why I was wondering if it was hotwired...

Do we know the imobilizer is easily defeated? If so, it doesn't seem like an alarm would make much of a difference...
