0-100 Km/h in 6.2 seconds
0-100 Km/h in 6.2 seconds, I tried it several times, but did not manage to go below 7.5 seconds.
I wonder how they (Honda) managed to do that, I guess with an empty tank, empty trunk, a small Japanese guy of 55 Kg and at 15 degrees C and dropping the clutch at 7000 Rpm.
My gas tank was full, trunk as well, and I did not drop the clutch at 7000 Rpm, temperature about 22 deg C.
Did anyone manage to reproduce these timings you come across all the time (ranging from 5.8 to 6.2 sec) and when yes under what conditions.

i ran 0-100km or 0-60 mph on a regular road with a passenger (who had a stop watch). I did it in 6 flat. So, if he was not in my car...i woulda ran the 5.8 or whatever. You gotta dump the clutch at 7500 man..for sure...
0-60mph and 0-100kmh is not the same...
I think 0-60mph equates to something like 0-96kmh... Someone please correct me on thet if needed...
So I'd say on average it would be 0.2s quicker to make a 0-60mph time than a 0-100kmh time...
I did a 0-100kmh in 6.2s on my Apexi RSM. I had 17" Wheels, B-Grade Falken Tyres, HKS Springs, AEM Intake and HKS Exhaust. I had a passenger, full tank of gas and spare tyre as well..Launched at 7000rpm and the car jerked to the left slightly when i shifter into 2nd...
I have no doubt that a stock S2000 in the hands of a good driver would be capable of a flat 6.0sec High 5s.

I maneged 6.16 0-100kph and so did 2kTurkey. Actually we both managed 6.2 or just bellow a few times. We had one person on-board (~75kg), 3/4 tank of fuel and nothing special done to the car/tyres. Also, 2kTurkey later made a 5.8secs pass for the 0-100kph (but he thinks he ming have had a slight downhill when he run it).
Win 2 people abourd we managed 6.4 (or just bellw) a few times and I managed 6.25 once.
Altogether we much have done at least 10runs and every 'agressively' launched run was bellow 6.6secs and 6.2 was very repeatable.
ps. We even tryed several 0-100kph runs where we'd launch the car off idle and returned 7.8 on average for that but managed 7.4 once with a slight slip off the clutch from about 2-3k rpm.

Verry correct. Though, the 0-60mph and 0-100kph discreptany is more like 0.4sec according to the published figures.

Stop watch is a very bad timing device as there's a good 1sec of 'human error' there ... that is no matter how fair or accurate you try to be. So you couyld have run 5.3 just as likely 6.3.

There is a delay on the odometer display, so when you hit 60 you are probably go at 65 .When you want to do a 0 to 60, first you have to find at what rpm you hit 60 (second gear) i think it's around 8500 rpm so when you do a 0-60 when you hit 8500 rpm in second you got your time.
I did it in 5.5-5.6 sec.

OK so you definitely need to start with high RPM, As for the accuracy of my timing, it might a bit off as I was alone so I had to do both the chrono and the shifting *LOL*.
The problem with 0 - 100 is that you have to throw it in third at about 98
which could account for some delay. opposed to 0 - 60 (asside from the minor speed difference).
I'm not going to try it at 7000 Rpm for the moment as I just had my rear axle nuts tightened to fix the clicking noice and I want tee see first if it comes back indicating bearing problem.
P.S. the exact figures are:
60 Mph = 96,5 Km/h
62 Mph = 100 Km/h
1 Mph = 1,609 Km/h

My experiences second DavidM's. Hard launches will be between 6.2-6.6 for 0-100 km/h.
However, I feel that the difference is a bit more than 0.4-5s between 0-60 mph and 0-100km/h. I'm basing this on the reports I see of 5.5s (or better?) 0-60mph times.
Maybe I'm wrong, but has anyone seen a 0-100km/h time below 6s?

Not so - the 2nd gear will take you all the way to 105kph so you do not need to shift to 3rd gear for your 0-100kph runs. You will be doing 100kph when you're in 2nd gear and you hit 8,600rpm.

Yep, I have. I have a couple of German and Swiss magazines that managed a sub 6sec 0-100kph times. I have seen 5.8 in two separate magazines/articles.
