Hey other S2000 lovers, i have kinda a random question, does anyone know the official 0-60 times of a stock 01 S2000 compared to that of a stock 01 boxter?

There is no such thing as "official" 0-60 times per se.

But as stated above, a stock AP1 is faster in a straight line than a stock base Boxster.

Pick up a car mag (Car and Driver, Motortrend) and take a look at their road test summary page. Each one will be different. Why ask us? We don't know nothin'.

The 2001 Boxter S tests in at around 5.5-5.6 0-60, which is right around or above the S2k.. so it's safe to say the non S boxter will be significantly slower.

Here's a handy little link for answering exactly these kinds of questions:

I would consider 5.5 "around or above" 5.2-5.4

and yes, I like to go with the 5.2 0-60, and 13.7 1/4 mile when relaying performance specs to friends
