Are 00-01 GPW rare?
I've been looking for about a month now for an S2000, namely a 2000-2001 GPW one. But i've noticed that there are none for sale? I've checked, ebay, autotrader, here but with no luck. Is it the most rare color or something? If i wanted silver (there are a million silvers for sale), red, black, or yellow i could find one in a second.....but white i can't find any
. Sorry for the mini rant, i just want to get one really bad if i could find one.

king,
I bought mine in the summer of 03. I looked for about a month and only found one GPW w/Red available. I don't know anything about the production numbers - they're out there you just have to look for them.

Bob, in a word, "yes". White is the rarest color. 5% sounds about right. When I was buying new back in 2000 most dealership didn't have many S2000s and ones they did have were mostly silvers. I also saw a few black and red ones. If you are dead set on getting a 00-01 GPW you have to be patient AND you have to expand your search. Search beyond your local area. You may have to fly to a location and drive back a GPW or have a delivery company ship it back.

I stumbled across my GPW accidentally- I've had it for two years+ and I don't think I have seen more than two or three other GPWs, and one of them was a new '04 sitting in the dealer showroom.
The first time I took my car into the dealer for service (early '03) a bunch of the dealership service people came out to look at it because they had never seen a GPW S2000 before.
I don't ever see any NFRs around either- a blond lady here in town has one but other than hers, I just never see 'em.
