I have bought 2 '01 GPW in the last 2 months. One was bought back by the dealer, I got lucky on the other one. A member posted that he saw it come into the dealership and I flew out to buy it the next day. It is hard to find them and it does require persuing the car.

In my search, I ran across a couple of nice cars that were too far away from LA for me to get to. Let me know where you are and mabye I can lead you to a couple of them. There is a particularly nice one in Kansas. 31K miles, '01 GPW that is owned by an older guy who stored it in the winters at his son's house in Arizona. It looks really, really clean. Anyone considering one should check this one out.

Yeah, I'm going to guesstimate that there are less than a thousand MY02 GPW's in the united states........i'd gladly pay a $1000 premium for a GPW S2000

my 1st was gpw w/red/black. really like the interior and miss the red seats.

now, i have NFR, and I must say, it looks better in person than in pics. And once in awhile, I'll see a GPW....but i think i like the NFR better now

GPW has had the most different interiors of any NA S, so they make for the rarest of S's. You can get all blue, all red, all black, red and black, and black and tan, depending on yr and where in NA you are.
