Turbo S for sure. Much more fun to drive and much classier. And with the turbo it will be faster than a '99 C5.

the vette is a temption that is getting harder and harder to resist. i have loved vettes since i was a lil lad, and have had a subscription to CQ forEVEAR! id drop my s2k for any year Zo6.

every non-vette owner will say this, and most of the vette owner will disagree.

for the price difference you pay you can make a c5 faster than a z06 with less cash.


i can see a c5 as an upgrade, but it's a totally different car, drive it and see if you like it

That was my first thought as well haha. Go post this in a corvette forum for the complete opposite slew of answers.

I will of course say s2000, vettes are cool but only the brand new z06 turns my head anymore, and im sure that will be outdated soon enough as well. Now a turbocharged S......holy crap I would accidentally follow that thing home and forget where I was supposed to be driving!

 

mob blue - They didn't do any changes in '01 that you can't easily replicate in a '99. I would go with the vette. A C5 has the potential to be a 10 second car along with being able to handle. For the average driver, you will be able to push the vette more than the S2k because if you push the S2k that hard it will swap ends. The corvette interiors have never had high reviews, but overall I think the C5 has more potential.

 

Dude, I wouldn't trade my S2k for a VIPER!!

S2k is simply the sexiest, purest, and most reliable vehicle around.

Just balls does not always do it. I figure in boxing terms, the S2K is da best POUND FOR POUND!
