How come the 02and 03 s2k's clutches feel alot smoother and more quick responsive then the other year s2k's? i remember hearing about it from my friend that had an 02, and it felt alot smoother and different then mine i have an 01. but mine feels like crap and not really smooth, but you think it may be the clutch thats wearing out perhaps?

 

Perhaps. But I haven't really noticed a difference in my 02 compaired to a 05.

 

Them 00-01's fell stiffer and bite better than 02-08

 

What do you mean "feel like crap"? In what aspect?

The car is older...maybe that's why? The springs also got softer starting in 02 along with smaller sway bars. The fuel table is also leaner.

They shouldn't feel different enough to make one feel like crap, though. Maybe your car just sucks?

My 00 doesn't feel like crap compared to my friends 02. They "feel" about the same in pretty much any aspect (stock to stock). Mine's not stock anymore, though.

AP1's all use the same Exedy clutch - the part number is the same for 00-03.

 

i think my04 was a bit softer compare to 00-03

 

i like the feel of my spoon clutch more than the stock one.
