ya, the markup blows. I work for a honda dealership here in Vegas. when we got our first new suzuka blue s2k this past week, i just fell in love w/ it and I had to have it. I went to my sales manager and ask what kind of deal can he give me on it, he said full sticker, which was 35,940. I was surprise that he was gonna make me pay that. I've been w/ them for 1 1/2 yrs and he wouldn't even budge on the price. It's not like I was gonna get paid a commission for buying my own car even though i think I should. Anyway, I decided to go to the GM and asked him instead. He said MSRP. I pleaded w/ him to sell me the car for 1500 over invoice since I am an employee of Honda. didn't work. I ended up buying it and maybe, i guess, i did get a good deal. Anyway, I'm happy w/ my car. The blue kicks A$$. The nicest color i have ever seen. In closing dealerships are greedy, all they care about is making money. If anyone out there is interested in buying an S2k, lemme know. I'll see what I can do for u. I'll try and get you one for MSRP. If not, I'll do my best to get u close to MSRP as i can.

ReV,
My first attempt to buy an S2000 was three weeks ago. They had a Silverstone '01 that they refused to sell because it was going to be sent to a dealer in Las Vegas for MSRP! Don't know if that was your dealership or not? Ultimately that led me to get the '02 Suzuka blue like yours, and I agree it is an incredible color. Never thought I'd buy a blue car!

Dave, I am very interrested in how the Suzuka Blue looks, the brochure just shows a tiny swatch and I can't tell. Is the top blue as well?? Somewhere I heard it was........if so, is the whole thing overwhelming? I really need some digi's sent........if you can, mustang@midohio.net. I have the opportunity to order one at a great price and need to just decide on the color, spa yellow or suzuka blue. Test drove a yellow one with my son on Sat and we got a thumbs up from passerby within 5 min!!!!!. Never had that with any other car. Glad you got yours.........I'm patiently waiting on mine.

Thanks for your input Happi!! I am placing my order for my '02 this week. I am told it will have a build date of Feb!! Anyway, if you could post some pics asap, it would help me confirm my color. I love the yellow, but the blue is interresting. I have some internet photos, but I want a consumer's perspective. Thanks
