A cool idea, but you could've probably done a much better job cutting the hole out. From the pic you could definitely see a bad cutting job. Anyways, as long as you like it is all that matters.

yeah i just took the car out for a drive and the more i look at it, it looks terrible. so i'll order a new piece and i'll locate the button inside of the cupholder. i'll figure out something.

I wish i could buy the piece from a 06 and wire up the button to work on my 01 defrost switch. i guess i'll just replace the piece i messed up.

By the way, sorry for threadjacking here, but how much did the center console cost you? I need a new center console, and I'm weighing my options cost-wise regarding replacing AP1 with AP1 vs. stepping up to the AP2 console.

go on ebay and look at the two consoles that are going for 300 bucks and make an offer to him. i can't really tell what the condition is on them but i made an offer for 216 and got it and then paid 235 shipped. i think the elbow pads look worn so make a offer lower and then you can buy a new pad from Honda.
BTW i can't believe this lil piece i screwed up is 73 bucks. oh well i'll know next time.
