I heard a rumor that 04-05 cars are loosing power with aftermarket exhuasts? Please provide comments..

What exhaust do you have and what were the gains/losses...

Just want to collect some data to question the rumors..

I have dynoed a Toda Manifold and gained 6hp thorugh out most of top end.
I have an Amuse Extra Titan and butt dyno felt fine, just never dynoed and I have other mods that would make inaccurate.

I've never heard of such rumors. Just about all of the "brand-name" aftermarket exhausts are making more power. Normally 4-5whp for the duals and 7-8whp for the singles.

 

Pilot KD, Do you have a AM exhuast? Which one and what are the gains?

I realize most exhuast make power, I am just trying to differentiate on the 2.2 verses the 2.0s..

I might be the Stock CPUs.. On the F22, the stock CPU runs leaner than the F20. With an aftermarket exhuast, it might run too lean thus loosing power. On an F20, the stock CPU runs a little rich and an aftermarket exhaust will lean it out, thus gaining some power.
