Hey guys, i've read a few topics about some owners after completing the conversion that the underside of their car was not 100% alligned. Since i may do a 04 conversion i wanted to ask wtih the conversion is it neccessary to purchase the spash sheild retro kit?

I have done the 04 conversion with my sponsor riverside honda. To do it correctly you need the front foam bumper, rear foam bumper, the front splash shield, the front wheel splash shields. If you get all these pieces then it just bolts on. But it WILL work with out the splash shields but it will be Ghettofied (may need to use zip ties to secure the 02 splash shields). The 04 bumper does not line up with the 02 splash shields. Also the rear bumper is wider and lower so if you want to do it correctly you have to fab brackets from the 02 mounting points to the 04 rear bumper mounting points. Or the bumper will flap at high speeds.
