i had to get gas this morning:

with one bar showing (on level ground), i was able to put in 42.2L (tank has a 50L capacity)

my old car ('00 S2000) showed a few bars with about 8L left in the tank.

just an fyi.....

also, i drove 397km on 42.2L - for whatever that's worth.

(majority was stop and go highway driving - i.e. work commute)

 

I had no bars showing the other night on the way home from buying the car. It was my first tank of gas with the car. I was on the interstate with about 45 minutes left of my 250 mile drive and I was pretty much in the middle of nowhere. I got off to get gas at one station and it was closed, so I had to drive another 10 minutes. Needless to say, my gas gauge was blank. I was having visions of running out of gas in my brand new '04.

Anyway, I only got 10.848 gallons into it, so there was still about 2.5 gallons in the tank.

Happened to me to on my way home after picking up MY04.

I was about to s**t a brick as I was also in the middle of nowhere!

No bars means you still have 2-3 gallons left in a MY04

 

Filled-up this morning, no bars showing and pumped in 10.7 gallons. It could just be me but the last three bars seem to disappear faster than the others.

1 or no bars on my 01 and i can fill up 10 gallons...
