Default '04 Prices going down soon?

I was going to buy an '04 S2000, but I only want to spend like about $28,500 or maybe even $29,000 for it. I got a quote for $30,000 recently. When do you guys think is the best time to buy and/or how long before I can get the car for a little cheaper. Thanks!

You'll probably have to wait for a used one to get it at $29k. They just came out and already you're asking to purchase at less than invoice (if I'm not mistaken).

I don't think you'll be able to do much better than $30,000 for a new MY04 anytime soon.

$30k for a new '04 is an excellent price! ... assuming that includes destination charge and dealer fees, but not tax, tag and title. If so, I wouldn't hesitate - buy it now!

The best prices I have seen reported here were 30,495 and 30,995 (on a MY04') though I can verify neither. I would think if you offered 30K and it was accepted you would leave the money and take the car.

That is a great price, i doubt you will get an 04 for below invoice. Now is the best time to buy an S2K it is like an offseason for the car. Even though you live in texas car dealerships are slow from nov to feb. after february you might find the prices will go "up" or it may be harder to get a discount cause the best time to sell is spring and summer.
