04 steering wheel vs. 00 steering wheel
I just drove home my 04 s2000. Steering wheel feels very different from my 00 wheel. Anyone know if older wheels are interchangeable with 04 model? Anyone else notice this?

Can't see it being a problem swapping the wheels over. The hub, as far as I know is the same.
Am I understanding correctly that you prefer the older one?

I take it you just bought a MY04.....now go register your VIN!!! 
I havent seen the MY04's wheel in person but I have seen a few pix. What is the difference that you feel in them? I'm sure if you wanted to swap it out, you could fina a few people that would be willing to be your donor

the 04 wheel looks cheap compared to the 00-03 wheel. i know they're both leather wrapped, but the 00-03 wheel is perforated has better feel/texture. that is why some people prefer the older one. no offense to 04 owners, seriously.
