Hey guys help me understand this.

1.
On the 2004 its a double peak high in the rpm range at approximately 6500 and again at 7800 rpm. The 2002 sees peak torque at 6500 rpm as well.
Does that mean that 04 has 2 'vtec' points where the car pulls ahead in force and you can feel it?

2. The dyno shows 02 only goes up to 220 hp. Is that it? Where is the other 20?

3.
Its also a bit of a pain when driving because there is no overrev capacity. You hit the power peak and you hit the rev limiter while the early models had a good 600 rpm after the peak to play with.
Does that mean that we can actually rev up to 9400 rpm before the rev limiter kicks in? And the 04 kicks in at 8200 rpm sharp? That gives 02 1200 rpm more. How does that translate in the street or track?

4. in regard to the 02 chart, the first one shows a decline after 6500 rpm. The same thing happens on the second chart after 8500 rpm. What exactly does it mean when you drive?

Thanks.

Hey back-cracker, once you get your MY04 are you keeping it stock? If not, what are your plans for your S2200?

PS. Glad to see Honda kept the new engine a secret. With the dyno numbers coming in with +26hp and +21 torque, I'm glad I waited for the MY04's.

I can't wait to get some more miles on my 04!! Got 200 in less than 48 hours.

Hey UL, where are you located. I'm in the SF Bay Area and would interested in getting my car dynoed once I get a few more miles on it.

If those numbers are accurate, the 2004 S2000 would be very close to NSX like performance.
