I'm looking to order an exhaust soon but I was wondering if the exhausts for 05 will also fit an 06? Thing like hanger position, piping angle etc...

Cat back exhausts from earlier years do not fit on 2006's without modding. They changed the exaust channel.

The exhaust channel on the MY06 S2000 is completely straight. PY S2000s had a couple of bends in the exhaust channel because the b-pipe itself has two bends in it. So one of the bends in the b-pipe conflicts with the straight exhaust channel. Another member here ended up paying another $250 to have a b-pipe fabricated. Very difficult to do with titanium and some of the other metals used in the exhausts. You can do a custom exhaust if you really want a better sound but not much if any power gain.

 

Does anyone know how long it took for aftermarket parts to come out when the AP2 first came out?

Good question! At least this will give us an idea on how long we will have to wait.

 

I guess I'll hold off for now...too bad because I think the amuse exhaust is going up in price next month =(
