You really have to drive the '05 and '06 side by side and decide what works best for you.

Everyone is giving the Traction Control and Drive by Wire the thumbs down, but those technologies are present on Grand Prix cars, and the S2000 is suppose to be 'race bred", so I will withhold judgement until I get some seat time behind the "improved" model. If these two major changes result in a faster lap time around the Ring, shouldn't that be an improvement (I have no data to suggest that the '06 is indeed faster)?

I think many will impressed by what Honda has done, at least I hope.

Consider this the MY05 will take a depreciation hit as soon as u get it bc the MY06 will be out prob in october. So even though you may get a deal on it make sure it is good enough to offset that model year loss. Not sure where you live but I am in the northeast and I would not pay more than 30K for an 06....they cant give them away in the winter months. So what I am trying to say is if this is your case 28K sounds like the price the MY05 would have to be to swing my decision. Plus the 06 has some nice features which some here bash...but they are nice. Better speakers which SUCK on all other model years and VSA which can be turned off if you want so I see this as a good thing...because for those that make the argument its not a real sports car with vsa I say either is a car with A/C. Just my 2 cents. Either way you get a great car.

I'd wait to test drive both the MY05 and the MY06 for comparison. You may like the new features added to the MY06. If you don't like the MY06, you should be able to get a good deal for MY05 at that time. Beware you may not have a lot of color choices for a new MY05.

Cheers,

If you can get a great deal on an 05, then buy. If not wait.

If you are going to keep the car for a long time, get the MY05. Otherwise, I would wait.

Good luck.

IMO, the 04,05 is much more of a raw sports car with its, 240hp, its open headrests on the seats, its crappy radio and its differently designed wheels.
Clever satire!
