Default 06 progammable ecu?

i heard the 06 has a programmable ecu. what does that mean, can i just plug a laptop to it and progam?

It has a flashable ecu. You need the right equipment and knowledge engine management (fuel maps, timing, etc) to do it. Hondata offers a reflash for the MY06+.

can a place with a dyno and an aem tuning license do it?

You can't buy or deal directly with Hondata, you have to go through one of their dealers:

I know a lot of people do it through ClubRSX for the RSX crew who has re-flashes and K-Pro for most 02-04.
