07 S2k with 36k for $22.5 good?
I'd say that asking price is about right in line with typical "listing" prices. I'm sure there is some room built into that. As for getting another S2K I don't really understand why you like them. Anyway, your life, your call in the end. I would consider silverstone over two tone interior a net minus though, so I would be aggressive when negotiating on it.
If you're trying to save money, then save it instead of spending it! 
Since you trade in your cars a lot and it's just a fun car, get an older model and save the money for track days and tires. You'll have a lot more fun than driving this one on public streets.

As much fun as the S2000 is....you have 2 little ones now that in no time will be at an age that you will want to cart them around to the park or wherever and what happens when Mom has the X5 out shopping?
Personally I would look into something fun with at least a backseat, possibly 4 door. Personally I would be looking at the 2011 Subaru STi

Now, I have a lot less driving needs (MAX 500 miles per month)
Also, I drive around my wife's X5 when we go out together with the kids, therefore it would kind of compensate
