I'm sure he is responsible and already planning for his future. $1000 in a retirement fund isn't going to net you very much in the grand scale of things anyway.
It will make you more happy now to spend it on your S than when you're 75 spending it on adult diapers. Every time someone asks what to do with money, 75% of the responses are to save it, invest it, etc.. funny when people here spend 10k on mods all the time

Obviously you've never used one properly, and even more obviously you've never seen a V1 in action... It does not make you invincible, but close. IF YOU USE IT PROPERLY. It's a warning system, which tells you which way the threat is coming from, at which time you can slow down and survey the situation.
Last night, I'm driving home at around 9:00... I am on a long dark road leading to my neighborhood... My V1 started beeping, arrow pointed forward, it starts getting stronger, I slow down from 55-60 to 45, about 10 seconds later it goes off FULLY. The V1 warned me of the cop sitting in the DARK, about a mile before I got to him... Well outside of the radar gun's range...
If I didn't have my V1, I would be out $150+, not to mention the NUMEROUS times it has saved me in the past.
It's quite possibly the best $400 bucks I've ever spent. Period.

save up for 04 wheels and an OE front lip if you want to spend more than $1000. if you really wanna spend just 1000 then yea do gears for performance. For looks/presence get a front lip and exhaust.
