1-2 Grind Fix in DC
#1
Has anyone in the DC area gone for the grind fix yet....Interested to find out if you were satisfied with the work...Did you have to go through the hassle of "replicating" this "intermittent" problem...
I have used Arlington Honda for some minor service. One of the chief mechanics I spoke to there seemed pretty helpful, but I'm concerned about the rest of the staff...Love to hear from anyone with dealer service experience in DC area....Many thanks

Just had mine in the shop today for its 7500 mile burping, and I pointed out to the service manager that I had a clunk when shifting into 2nd and 3rd. It happens to some degree most of the time, so reproducing it was not a problem for the tech that checked it out. I noticed hime talking to the service manager afterward, so I walked on over. The tech verified the problem and said that he wanted to replace the transmission but he had to talk with service HQ, or whom ever, first. I thought that replacing the entire transmission sounded like overkill, but I wasn't about to complain. So, I wasn't suprised when the service manager called later to say that they were going to replace a couple of synchros, not the whole transmission. That's OK with me, as long as they fix it on the first shot. Nothing makes me more angry than having to take the car back several times for the same problem.

Thanks for the info Josh....couple of things,
Just what problem did you have with your clutch(as opposed to the grind)
Are they replacing the rear window because of creasing and hazing????
Have you had any trouble with the autodown drivers window????
Thanks in advance. I'm very interested in hearing how it turns out with Fairfax Honda...They're only 5 minutes from my house so it would be very convenient
